Sprains and strains to soft tissues in the back, shoulder and wrist are among the leading causes of disability and discomfort in Ontario’s workforce.
The Centre of Research Expertise for the Prevention of Musculoskeletal Disorders (CRE-MSD) has a musculoskeletal disorder prevention guideline for the province.
The Musculoskeletal disorders prevention guideline is divided into three sections:
1. Quick start guide for small and micro businesses
2. Basic guideline for medium-sized organizations
3. Comprehensive guideline for large organizations
The guideline was created in collaboration with workplace stakeholders and aligns with the Ministry of Labour priorities to provide small businesses with more support.
