We’ve received funding from the Career Ready Fund (CRF). The CRF is part of the Government of Ontario’s Career Kick-Start Strategy, and helps publicly-assisted colleges and universities, businesses, and other organizations create experiential learning opportunities for postsecondary students and recent grads.
As part of the funding, Georgian College and Mohawk College will each create a Career Success Program and introduce a new Career Success Coach role to help people in our Return-to-Work Program take part in experiential learning (e.g., informational interviews, job shadows, and short term placements). These experiential learning opportunities will provide people in Career Success Program with job placement and work experience. Real work experience will build their resumés and employer network to help prepare them for the transition into the workforce.
The Career Success Program has received funding until 2019.
