Student testimonials

See what previous students have to say about our Summer Student Program.

"Over the summer, I networked with many occupational therapists, which was incredibly valuable and really solidified my interest in the industry. Through the development of essential skills and real contributions to workplace safety and recovery, every student embodies the organization's principles with passion and expertise. The experience as a returning student is collaborative. Everyone has something to add, whether to a specific claim or by supporting each other."

"I found the summer student experience to be very gratifying. Both last year and this year, I’ve worked on a tool for case managers to identify alternate work options for people with injuries. Seeing it come to life from an idea to a widely used tool is incredibly rewarding."

"I was privileged to be part of a very supportive team. In fact, the Summer Student Program was beyond my expectations. I have a passion for workplace safety and a commitment to making a difference in health and safety programs."

"Working at the WSIB broadened my perspective and helped me realize there are many careers where you can help people while combining your interests. I was pushed out of my comfort zone, which allowed me to develop skills I wouldn't have otherwise had the opportunity to."
