This bundle is applicable following the approval of a change in hearing aid prescription, which requires a new assessment and prescription.

Report fees
For people who enter the hearing services program on or after November 18, 2024.
There are different fees between health providers only when the bundle includes a prescription, given the regulated act of the prescription.
Billing instructions
You can submit bills electronically through our online services on the TELUS Health Provider Portal and submit completed reports/forms by logging in to your online services account with us.
- For initial and mini service bundles, bill after completing the 30- to 90-day trial from the date you dispensed the initial hearing aid.
- Submit the required reports (initial and mini bundle outcome reports) through our online services and bill us for the associated report fee through TELUS Health.
- We will process the payment once we receive both the completed report and the associated bill.
- For the ongoing service bundle, you can only bill us after your patient’s first visit in 180+ day intervals from the first service date. This must be at least one year from the date of fitting/dispensing of the hearing aid (completion of the initial bundle).
- Submit the ongoing hearing services form through our online services and bill us for the form fee through TELUS Health.
- We will process the payment once we receive both the completed form and the associated bill.
- To bill the total annual fee of $710 for both ears, you need to see your patient at their request for a minimum of two visits (at 180-day intervals.
Notes:
- The hearing services program covers all visits and services associated with the patient’s hearing aids from the first year as well as the following years – starting from the date you fitted and dispensed the hearing aids. Since the program is inclusive, you cannot bill for most individual services at any time during the program.
- The ongoing bundle service date starts on the day of your patient’s first in-person visit after the first year (initial bundle) is complete. You can bill for the ongoing bundle fee and completion of the associated form twice a year, at least every 180 days. We don’t need a form for any visits in between the 180-day intervals.
- Be sure to submit additional supporting documents:
- Initial and mini bundles : Hearing assessment report (audiogram, if required), outcome reports and the manufacturer’s invoice following dispensing
- Ongoing bundle – Ongoing hearing services form
- Your patient must sign all forms and reports in person
- The cost for the actual hearing aid(s) is not included in these fees
- If HST is applicable, record it on the same bill but on a separate line using the service code ONHST
