Freedom of Information requests

Make a request

Please note: People with claims or authorized representatives can request access to copies of WSIB claim file(s) through the WSIB’s Customer Care department, at no cost. You don’t need to go through the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FIPPA).

Under FIPPA, every person has the right to request access to a record unless it falls within one of the exemptions described in the Act.

You can submit requests online or by mail along with a $5 application fee.

FIPPA prescribes a user-pay principle and requires the person making the record request to pay the fees outlined in the regulations of the Act. A Freedom of Information coordinator will provide you with an estimate of any additional fee amounts over $25 following the request form submission.
