Stakeholder Engagement
On June 25th, 2013, Douglas Stanley met with stakeholders to provide an Interim Discussion (PDF) on the Rate Framework consultation. He has also prepared some materials addressing the issue of Unfunded Liability (UFL) Apportionment (PDF) for stakeholder review.
The Case for Change (PDF) explains why we need a simpler, fairer solution that shares the costs of the system fairly across all participants, and responds to the changing nature of work in Ontario.
Public consultations occurred in April 2013, engaging stakeholders across Ontario and getting their input and ideas, with the end result of giving the WSIB his informed advice in a final report. Twenty five oral presentations (18 in Toronto and seven in Thunder Bay) and 43 written submissions (including letters and emails) were received.
